Citrus Lane July 2014 Review

My July Citrus Lane  box came today (ok, this was a few weeks ago and JUST realized I never hit publish on the post!), and for the first time I let EM open it herself (with my assistance). She was more amused with the stuffing than the items, but she did grab the one toy and run!

For those of you that don't know, Citrus Lane  is a monthly subscription service where you get a box of goodies for your child that are geared towards their current age (and sometimes Mommy) each month delivered to your door. You never know what you are going to get, but overall I have not been disappointed. Plans start at $29/month but if you buy longer subscriptions you can get them as low as $19/month or even cheaper when they run specials).

Citrus Lane  always includes a very nice information card with their boxes that lists the items and descriptions and some coupon codes!

This is what I got in my 20 Month Old, Toddler Girl, July 2014 Box and the approximate retail value I found for each item from their specific website (or Amazon, since if you know me, I'm an Amazon Junkie and would most likely buy from there). Sometimes I have to do some math because the sizes aren’t quite the same, hence why they are approximate values.

My First Camera from Plan Toys  - this was the toy that EM took and ran with. It was kind of heavy for a toddler toy, like if she dropped it on my foot, it would hurt, heavy. But apparently it's heavy so it's "toddler safe" to drop. It's pretty much a kaleidoscope, which I haven't see in ages and loved as a kid so hopefully she'll enjoy it. ($13.52 on Amazon)

Aqueduck Faucet Extender from Peachy (in pink) -  This will really be great once we start potty training and teaching EM to wash her hands after each time going potty. Lifting her is already getting challenging when I do try to wash her hands in the sink (we mostly just use wipes to clean her hands now), so if this makes it easier b/c she won't have to reach as far, I'm all for it! It looks like they make handle extenders too, which would also probably come in handy for us, we'll see when we get to that next step! ($9.53 on Amazon)

Silicone Placemat from Oogaa (in purple) - I remember using placemats as a kid,I just don't see myself using one now with EM, maybe I will when she gets a little older as I was definitely older when I used them. This will actually come in more handy when ABS is at the finger food eating/plate throwing age and we are out to eat at restaurants since they are non-slip, so I'll probably hold on to it for her. Luckily EM is past the plate throwing stage (for now). ($8.99 on Amazon)

Mighty 4 Pouch from Plum Organics - EM is not a fan of any "pouch" foods, so I don't get really excited to get them in my boxes, but I know a ton of kids who LOVE them, mine just isn't one of them. (~$1.48 on Amazon)

Pur~Protect SPF 30 from Pur~Lisse - I love ALL the Pur-Lisse products I've gotten in my various subscriptions boxes so anytime I get one I get excited, especially since they are rather (very!) pricey and I wouldn't ever buy them in real life. (~$16.18 for .5 oz / 15 mL sample)

Total Estimated Value of Box: ~$49.70 not including shipping)
Total Cost of Box: $29.00 (free shipping) -- I only paid $10 though because of an awesome deal I found on Plum District

Overall Impression: Another so-so box, definitely not my favorite, but definitely worth the price paid (even would have said that if I paid full price).

If you are interested in signing up for CLICK HERECitrus Lane, use code “SAVEHALF” and you  will get 50% off your first box (new customers only). Remember, you can cancel at any time, so your first box would only be $14.50, not too shabby!

Did you get Citrus Lane this month? What'd you get and for how old of a child?
